Flash 8 Euphoria
Hi guys,
Its true!! Flash 8 rocks. I just cannot wait to put my hands on the trial . the news is that its coming on the web sometime in October. Now we can get access to the system files and thats the one of the greatest upgradation in flash.
Some times I wonder, How capable Flash be , say after 5 years from now !!
I leave that to your imagination and Adobe's (Oops Macromedia) vision.

Hi,
Yeah Macromedia Flash Player is full of features for developers as well as designers or creative people.
But let me correct you here on "access of system files". Macromedia Flash Player will not allow to access any system file, Macromedia is very concerned about user's machine security.
Flash applications can't not read any system file and runs inside a sandbox.
Though, Macromedia Flash Player 8 has new file upload/download API. Which means now you can kick file uploading from Flash Player itself without using any JavaScript/DHTML hacks.
ExternalInterface is also there which would allow seamless communication between Macromedia Flash Player and it's host f.ex. ActionScript-JavaScript communication in internet browsers.
BTW! Where have you been? No post for so long time. I thought I am the only one who posts once in a while, but it seems we are buddies :)

I believe you are still in banglore with MM. Well Abdul, any ideas when will Adobe start recruiting flash Developers/Designers, since we have a sprawling state of the art Adobe (vibrant) red black building in Noida. You know Delhi is quite parched up as far as quality Software companies are concerned.
